Connection timeout issue

Dear guofeng,

thank you for the account. I was happy to see, that I can still log in and that nobody changed the password. However, I logged in in the Yeelight App as well as in the Xiaomi Home App - both with servers from Mainland China. However, I wasn’t able to connect the lamp to an app, and therefore I also couldn’t do any firmware update.

A have a Mi Desk Lamp (very first model from 2017), the routers log shows that the lamp connects to the WIFI. Could you please help me with this?

Hello, It’s a known issue. Our develper are working on it. What’s your mi id? I can add you to the whitelist first. But the new firmware may not fix the issue.

Try change the dns of your router to 8.8.8.8. And your router support DNS over https(DoH), turn it on. Also, Make sure your router’s password is not empty and no special character of your router’s password

Hello, can you tell me why you need whitelist? And what’s the model your lightbulbs? You can view it in Device Info feature of Yeelight app.

I can’t add 2 LED Lamp Color to my app since I have updated them. I own these lamps 3 years or so and never problems since some updates a couple of months ago… I thougt this was the reason in this thread.

in the meanwhile, I managed to connect the lamp to the account you provided and to check and see the firmware update. However, the firmware-update stucks at 40% and fails at the end.

If you got a firmware-update issue. Add your account into whitelist has no help. Connect your lamp to Chinese mainland server. And share your lamp to 996832467. I will try update the firmware of your lamp.

Finally the issue is solved from my part. At the end, I connected the lamp to different mobile phone hotspots and with an old iPhone 6 running in the German o2-network I could successfully update the firmware. However, after the firmware update I still had issues to regularly connect the lamp to my network and my account.

Main issue in my setup: my home network runs an internet connection from Unitymedia, now Vodafone. Within that contract, there is that shitty “Vodafone Station”-router which practically allows no expert user preferences having an apparently pretty aggressive firewall at the same time. Now changed that router to a FritzBox cable - suddenly all my network issues including the connections issues with my Mi Desk Lamp are gone.

I entered the account and updated the firmware of my lamp (My LED Desk Lamp 1S) to 2.0.6_0007 but I still cannot add the lamp in my account, in my region. Please help.

I just received my new meteorite lamp and everything worked fine. The app indicated that there is an firmware upgrade available and now I cannot connect any more.

I logged in with one of the accounts mentioned above, but couldnt connect either.

What shall I do? My Mi ID: 6272229358

Hi again,

I managed to connect using a hotspot on my other phone. The firmware is already the latest 2.06_0049

Its the yeelight crystal pendant lamp. what do I have do configure on my router to be able to connect it?
Is there a way to downgrade to the previous firmware which worked before?

Hello, it seemed like a network issue. Change the DNS of your router to 8.8.8.8. See if it works. Also, if your router support DNS over Https(DoH), turn it on.

thanks for the info. However, there is no way to change my DNS or DoH on my router.
What can I do to use your lamp? Can I downgrade the firmware?
