Might be related, i tried to connect ceiling light 650 to application - and experiened connection timeout (tried atleast 10 times).
I did following: logged in on some existing account (see my link for login/pw), paired the lamp there, update firmware. And after that i was able to register it under my own account.
I think I found out the problem. It took me a while, but the lamp (my white 1 version) does not connect properly to a wifi-connection greater than 2.4 GHz. You should connect your lamp to your 2.4 GHz network
ot.io.mi.com is responding okay to my computer but the bulb is not responding and failing to connect.

This problem solved? I have same problem here. I have removed the device from the app. then i wanted to reconnect it, but it stopped at loading 25% and never reconnected. Please staff, help us.
Exactly same problem here with SE 1 color bulb. After resetting I can find the bulb on my iphone but when I try to connect to router it is stuck at 25% forever and never gets connected. I also tried different servers without any success.
Obviously the device is not in the DHCP list.
Device firmware is apparently updated
Any ideas?
Today my ISP came to change my router. the new router has 2.4g and 5g. i´m only using and trying to connect 2.4g and nothing… i see the mac adress of my yeelight , i choose the wifi the says that connect ok but the process stops at 50%.
I also cant find the lamp on my router and, i also tried the china server on 2 diferent phones!!! AND NOTHING
So,
due to the absence of solutions that I read in the post and the lack of support from yeelight, should we then assume that yeelight is in decline and the best thing might be to stop buying your products?
Do we not deserve a solution, since it is proven by the repeated number of complaints that it is a problem of the lamps and not the equipment or connections of the customers?
These lamps that I have in my house, are for garbage since I no longer have the router / connection that they accepted?
You need to get into router security settings & change it to WPA2 (recommend)(WEP & WPA have weak security). I think my bulb doesn’t compatible with latest WPA3 security type. Even my router default settings set to “WPA2 & WPA3 mixed” can’t connect to my bulb.
