Have you given up? The HomeBridge plugins has a lot more features including this but sadly the LAN mode seems to eb slow and unstable.
More than 2 years and nothing…
What’s up with this? I just purchased my first ceiling lights with Ambient RGB, not 650 but 450 (~guangcan?). Surprised that we cannot set the RGB in any of the custom scenes, and they are not part of the favourites either. Especially surprising, as the built-in few scenes DO change the ambient colors. Just not to a color + light combo I like 
I also use Google Home, and at this moment can’t even activate any of the scenes easily - can only do it if I set a custom Routine in Home.

I have ylxd50yl. How about that development? Year 2021, we can’t create a scene with ambilight function. Please upgrade.
It is a shame that in 2022 they still have not solved this problem. I no longer trust Yeelight, I would not buy anything from this brand again
