Hi everyone,
I’m having a serious issue with my Yeelight A2001 ceiling light. It used to work fine for years, but recently it started cycling through colors every second and turning itself off and on in rapid succession. I’ve tried all the usual reset procedures (turning the power on/off five times in different intervals, physically cutting power at the breaker, etc.), but the light never shows any standard reset indication (like the rapid flashing or color shifting to indicate a successful factory reset).
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Standard On/Off Reset:
Switched the light on and off at 1-second, 2-second, and 3-second intervals (5–6 times).
The light never goes into the normal reset blinking sequence.
- Physical Power Cut (Breaker/Connector):
Turned off power completely at the breaker, then turned it on again multiple times.
No change — still cycles colors every second and won’t reset.
- Other Yeelight Devices:
I have other Yeelight ceiling lights on the same line, and they reset and reconnect without any problems.
This indicates it’s not an overall power or wiring issue.
- App Recognition (Yeelight/Mi Home):
http://android-dev.yeelight.com/factory.apk & hotspot is not working.
Neither app can detect the device in its current state.
Because it won’t reset properly, I can’t remove the old binding or re-add it to the app.
I suspect a firmware or hardware failure, but I’d love to know if there’s a workaround or an official fix. Does anyone know of a manual firmware-flashing procedure, or have any suggestions beyond the standard reset steps?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Thank you!
