Issues Connecting Yeelight Lightstrip Plus to Apple Home App

I’m encountering difficulties connecting my Yeelight Lightstrip Plus to the Apple Home app. The lightstrip appears successfully in both the Yeelight and Mi Home apps. However, when I try to add it to the Apple Home app, I consistently receive an error stating, “Make sure your device is powered on and nearby.”

I have already updated the firmware for the lightstrip as well as my HomePod, which is running version 17.0. I’ve also tried changing regions in the Yeelight app but to no avail.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

  1. Make sure your lightstrip is on the same Wi-Fi network as your HomePod.

  2. Restart your HomePod and lightstrip.

  3. Try adding your lightstrip to HomeKit using the Home app on your iPhone or iPad instead of the Yeelight app.

  4. Try removing your lightstrip from the Yeelight app and Mi Home app, then adding it back to the Yeelight app and trying to add it to HomeKit again.

  5. Try connecting your lightstrip to a different Wi-Fi network.

  6. Try resetting your lightstrip to factory defaults.
