Yeelight S1 color not connecting

I have a yeelight s1 color and it’s not connecting. It worked previously before we changed our wifi router. I can’t change my dns on the router settings for some reason and the network I am connected to is a 2.4g network. Every time I try and pair, it will just load to 99% and says the connection is lost and try again. I think the router is the problem but I’m not sure which part of it is.

check your wifi settings under security use WEP + WPA2 instead of WPA2 + WPA3

i also got a new router and could not connect them anymore.

My Yeelight S1 Color also stopped connecting and facing the same issue, adding the device to Yeelight & Mi Home apps times out. However, I can see that the light is connected to the wifi, and responds to ping.

I’ve tried quite a few suggested options, but it refuses to get added to the app:

  • Enabling only 2.4G on my router, changing wifi security to WPA2
  • Connecting to the lights wifi before starting the pairing process
  • Different devices (Samsung S22, Samsung A8 tablet, OnePlus phone)
  • Ensuring region is set to Singapore

Has anyone faced similar issues?
