I ran into the same issue after updating mine — the “LAN control” toggle just disappeared. From what I’ve learned, Xiaomi disabled LAN control on some newer firmware builds (including 2.0.6_0040) for security reasons, so that’s why you can’t find or enable it anymore.

Unfortunately, there’s no official way to downgrade or unlock developer firmware unless your account already has early access. What worked for me was:

  • Using the Mi Home app with a region where LAN control is still supported (sometimes switching to “Mainland China” in app settings brings the toggle back).
  • If you need LAN integration (e.g. with Home Assistant), try connecting through the Yeelight app instead, since some lamp models expose local tokens even without the toggle.

If LAN control is critical, you’ll need either:

  • to flash older firmware manually (which isn’t officially supported and risky), or
  • to use a workaround with token-based integration through Mi Home.
