The lamps are shit and not meant to be 24h online! If you cut everytime the power you will never experience a problem.
If they had added zigbee there would be no Problem
it’s not a question of RF protocol but more so bad & not well-tested firmware. Blame Q/A and the devs. Hardware itself is some of the best so that’s really a bummer.
Am also having these issues, so would appreciate being put on the whitelist for the beta firmware

I have the same problem, the YeeLight 1S disconnects after a small amount of time. I am running the YeeLight without internet controlled by lan control. the version on my bulb is 2.0.6_0031.
I would like to be added to the whitelist and help solving this issue.
my Mi ID = 1679918831 and I am connected to the DE server.
Thank you
@liufei @weiwei I’d like to be a beta tester as well, having connection issues like everyone. Mi id: 6415166067 , europe server, color4 bulbs.
I’m using the Python Yeelight Library to control the bulbs and actually built my own application because I just feel it gives me more flexibility. If I’m not mistaken HomeAssistant and Openhab and other solutions use it too..
Same problem here! Losing connection after a few hours online.
Please, send me also a beta version to test.

Any news on this shitty problem? I really dont recommend anybody to buy yeelight products!
A lot of people asked me already of my lamps but i told them not to invest into those!
Today 3 of my lamps gone unavaliable (bulb closed the connection)! Had to disconnect them from the electricity to reconnect them…… its frustrating cause thats not very smart….
Yeah, it’s absolutely pointless. I’m not buying a single Yeelight device anymore. That thread here I made gave me hopes, but they still zero care. ZERO.
Their software is bugged af. Everything except the bedside lamps work OK now for me. They’re mostly online and the issue of them going completely unresponsive only happened like one time after that beta firmware. Still, my log is full of these errors:
2021-04-28 03:38:10 ERROR (SyncWorker_10) [homeassistant.components.yeelight] Unable to update device 192.168.178.44, [Living Room] Small Lamp: Bulb closed the connection.
2021-04-28 03:42:35 ERROR (SyncWorker_5) [homeassistant.components.yeelight] Unable to update device 192.168.178.44, [Living Room] Small Lamp: A socket error occurred when sending the command.
And the bedside lamps are as unresponsive as always, never useable in HA as they constantly throwing the errors above…
Totally pointless in spending money in these things if you use them outside their app.
I dont get it
I really wanted a cloudfree solution which i dont need to make maintenance
Unable to update device 192.168.0.58, Vorhaus Decke: Bulb closed the connection. Unable to update device 192.168.0.41, Wohnzimmer Decke: Bulb closed the connection. Unable to update device 192.168.0.46, Led-Strip Küche Unterboden-Links: Bulb closed the connection. Unable to update device 192.168.0.50, Bulb-Wohnzimmer-3: Bulb closed the connection. Mine are going offline constantly, I’m almost trying the “smash all my lights” solution
I have several Yeelights of the following models and firmware versions:
- yeelight_color1 - 1.4.2__076
- yeelight_color4 - 2.0.8__0034
- yeelight_colorc - 2.0.8__0016
- yeelight_mono5 - 2.0.8__0013
- yeelight_monob - 2.0.8__0009
The color1 bulbs (original) are solid and I have no issues with those, the new bulbs however seem to constantly require rebooting.
These logs are occurring even when I am not home and nothing is operating the bulbs.
First occurred: 3:53:43 (12 occurrences)
Last logged: 15:41:09
