Yeelight Ceiling Light disconnecting every couple minutes

I just bought the above product (version of the firmware 2.0.6_0016).
The device refuses to stay connected longer than a couple of minutes. From the ping I could see that the packets we’re going from 5ms to 1500ms and dropping from time to time. I did try to switch to another router just to exclude the chance of incompatibility, I’ve tested various wifi settings(different dns, channels etc) - the result was always the same - device breaking after a couple of minutes. I did try to run the update however do to the above behavior it’s staying at 99% all the time
I’m really disappointed, to be honest…Any ideas what else I can check?
