Fingers crossed this to be the case 
i would really enjoy automated lights (almost half a year later…) 
bought latest Mi Smart Gateway (link below) and got the lights so sync up using the Mi Home App (was hoping it would also sync with the Yeelight app, but it didn’t). My next issue now is making it work using alexa, it looks like the gateway will only work with HomeKit, BUT the candlelight bulbs wont work for HomeKit anyway.
Anyone know how I can sync this up with Amazon??
