Extension of Data Cable (CUTTING?)

I want to have the Light Strip placed on the ceiling of my room and for the switch to be placed at wall level so physical control is an option. However, DATA CABLE is too short and I am looking for a way to EXTEND or CUT and attach an extender.

Have anybody done this before? Need assistance and advice for this! :slight_smile:
