Could you have a try with changing your router’s DNS server to 8.8.8.8 instead of using automatically allocation?

this is so frustrating, couldnt find dns setting on phone hotspot so did setup on laptop hotspot
tried with 8.8.8.8 it didnt work connection timed out even after 100% once

tried with wifi router also, didnt work, this is so much waste of time energy and money.

It seems Germany server is the best server to use, please have a try again, and tell me the time you try to connect, we will have a look for backend. Many thanks.

By the way, which country do you live?

hi i am in india,

and if you are online i am going to try now.
or 11 pm IST ok for you

Same problem here. Im from spain and i can connect until last update. I can’t use the app :/.

@dingyichen Can you please reply on this, or let me know if there is something thats not working at xiomi end i would stop following this.

@dingyichen please reply I am not able to use strip

Hi, I am afraid i have no idea about the issue.

I asked xiaomi IOT team to look up the log from the cloud, but there’s no clue with your account. This should be some network issue.

But there’s good news for u, xiaomi will deploy India server very soon, I think it will resolved your issue.

And BTW, do you have other xiaomi IOT devices?

For now, you can contact your retailer for a refund if want. Or you can wait few month of India server.

BR
Andy

That’s very disheartening,
Yes I have a led multi colour bulb also and it works very smoothly and I didn’t have any issues in setting up that.

@dingyichen

Can you please give one more try at your logs
tried with two different wifi connections using android device both time setup went up to 100% and then failed.

Hi @dingyichen
Are you able to find anything in logs
There should be something

Ok, we are working on the issue.

Hi, Could you have a try with below:

1、Get IP address with command “ping sg.ot.io.mi.com”, it is like “52.74.152.99” (Use sg.ot.io.mi.com for Singapore server, us.ot.io.mi.com for US server, de.ot.io.mi.com for Germany server and ot.io.mi.com for Mainland china server);
2、Setup a local DNS server with your PC (You can use tool of simple dns), add an “A record” with the IP address you get from Step 1 associate to “sg.ot.io.mi.com;
3、Modify DNS server of your router to the dns server you have setup in Step 2;
4、Reset the bulb and try to connect again to see if it works.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi,

I am trying to setup my Yeelight Light Strip and I have the same problem of connection time out. I first tried connecting to the China server and then tried with the SIngapore server. It failed both times.

Is there a procedure I can use to try and resolve this issue?

Has the India server been launched?

Thanks in advance.
