I am at my wit’s end trying to resolve the issues with my yeelight strip connectivity.
The pairing process always ends with a connection timeout and I believe the issue lies with the DHCP not working from behind the two repeaters daisychained to provide a signal where I am.
The router will only see any devices behind the repeaters as one and hence their incompatibility with DHCP addressing provided by the router.
At present all my devices are using static addresses (provided with the necessary default gateway) and work fine with this configuration yet the yeelight is redundant simply for lack of having this simple network function.
Can anyone shed light (excuse the pun) on this predicament?
From what I understand WDS might be an option though my router and repeaters don’t support this.
