Connection Time out

Every time I receive a “connection timed out” error. I’m not sure if this is due to my router setting. It just keeps on blinking

what i found is that i could select the bulb wi-fi and it would connect then it has to send messages to complete the device add but instead it just timed out. with error “bring device closer to phone” or something like that. i solved this problem by going into phone general settings, searching for Mi Home app and giving the app permission to use local network

I tried that and it did not work. I need to know if there is something I need to fix with my modem as I did not have issues when I tried in another house.

if you see your lightbulb in your modem’s list of connected devices then i think there is nothing in your modem needs fixing, it has done what it is supposed to do.
