I bought a yeelight ceiling light but I cannot complete the setup. I have tried going through all the steps and I have tried different servers (mainland China, Singapore, etc) but I keep reaching 99% installation and then I get a “connection timed out” error.
My housemate has another identical yeelight ceiling light and his connected fine to mainland China server at the first try with no problem. I have been trying for 2 weeks now with no success, please help.
How about try to change DNS of your router to 8.8.8.8?
Added the DNS, issue persists, still the same (connection timeout).
The yeelight shows up as connected to the network on the access list on my router so I don’t think it’s a home network issue.
