I would so much like it when you would build a LED controller/driver only with the software included to connect to the Yeelight/Xiaomi universe. A controller which would control the lighting of my choice, self developed lighting, which could be controlled by the app. I think a lot of the DIY enthusiast would welcome it (and not only, education, etc.). Imagine the possibilities especially since Alexa, Google and IFTTT are supported now.
I think this is also a marketing gag potential. There has nothing commercial like this been done before.
