my first yeelight LED Bulb arrived.
I wanted to control it with my own device (using the third party/open api).
Is there a way to turn the developer mode on without using the app.
I simply don’t want to accept some EULA to be able to be able to use my lamp.
I mean there should be a way, it’s probably just some signal which is send to the lamp or not?

When I bought the lamp it said it provides an Open API.
In my (and I think also, the general) opinion providing an Open API means not requiring the user to accept some terms and conditions.
Otherwise, I will have to send it back as not functioning.
Yes, we actually provider open API for geek users. All you need to do is connect your bulb to Yeelight application, enable “LAN Control” function. Then you can follow our third party control protocol to program your device. If you can’t accept it, it’s your right to send it back.
