My light switch is on, to allow me to control it whenever I want but the light bulb itself isn’t on. I’m wondering is this will use up electricity? Also, when the light bulb operates, will it use a lot of electricity and how long will a light bulb last for? Thank You!
On standby the power consumption of a bulb is around 1,5 W.
The bulb should last for 20+ years if you use it everyday for 6 hours or less. Again I don’t know how much electricity the bulb uses when it’s off, but I would expect it to be little to none.
